Emotions

An exhibition exploring vulnerability in an offline world.

The Purpose

Exhibition Emotions is a passion project that is made with a purpose of exploring emotions and bringing them back to an "offline" world. It all started with the realization that most of the emotion we see online is fake, an act, and when you start looking offline you see that people are suppressing their emotion.

Why? Because form a young age we are "trained" to do so. Don't show emotion, keep a straight face, don't cry or I will give you something to cry about. All that does is make people afraid of their emotions and reduces our ability and need to process them.

Deeper Scars

I have been in many fights in my life, even trained different martial arts, but I will tell you one thing. I would rather be punched in the face a thousand times then to be hurt emotionally. The physical pain goes away, some of it leave scars, but emotional pain leaves scars that are far deeper. People recall emotional scars more often than the physical.

That is why I made this series of photos to remind people that emotions are normal. That emotions are something to be proud of. Imagine a world with no emotion, where gifts don't make you happy and injustice does not make you mad. It would be a boring world, and to be honest, not worth living.

Explore your emotions!
